GARDENING TIPS FOR BALCONY AND WINDOW GARDENS

Today I want to share some gardening information.

That I think very important for anyone who wants to start a little kitchen garden in pots, backyard or in their balconies. It applies to all plants🌵🌾🌹 and trees.🌴🌳🌲

There are 5 important things that we have to take care about plants when we start gardening.

1: Site it right

2: Soil or coco peat

3: Water

4: Containers

5: Gardening tools

1: SITE IT RIGHT

As we all know that plants require light for photosynthesis. Place your garden in a part of your back yard or balcony where you will see it regularly and you will be much more likely to spend time. On the basic requirement of sunlight, the plants are of 3 types.

I. Low light

II. Medium light

III. Bright light

I. Low light: The plant requires a very little amount of sunlight even they can survive in a dark place also.

Ex: Zi-Zi plant

Snake plant

II Medium light: The plant that requires not too much sunlight not too less they can be grown indoor.

Ex: Rubber plant

All kinds of pathos

III. Bright light: The plant that requires direct sunlight at least 3 to 4 hours a day mostly all kinds of vegetables.

2: SOIL OR COCOPEAT

Coco peat is essentially a dried coconut husk that has been compacted in brick.

Add water to coco peat at coconut fiber absorb water the brick expands use coco peat with composed and regular soil and grow plants in it.

3: WATER

Water requirements for various plants vary. According to water requirement or thirst for the plant, It is divided into 3 types

I. Low

II. Medium

III. High

I. Low water requirement plants need water in a week or within ten days. Mostly succulents

are in this group they have modified leaf they store water if you add more water they start to dry.

II. Medium the plant which need not to less or not more water they require water every 4 to 5 days most of the indoor plants are of this type.

III. High the other end on the watering spectrum are very thirsty plants they need water every alternate day. One way to check whether the plant needs water is to touch the soil touches to your finger then do not give water to it. Every plant has a different water requirement whenever you water plant gives water completely let the water sweep out from the bottom.

4. CONTAINERS

You can grow plants in any type of container there are different kinds of containers available in the market or you grow directly in the soil in your garden or backyard.
