VAASTU SHASTRA

Vaastu Shastra is the science of architecture of Ancient India. It is based on the scientific work on the subject collectively known as Bhartiya Vaastu Shastra. observed by leaving traditional practitioners are ‘Sthapathies’ of  Tamil Nadu and Somapuras of Gujarat. traditional Indian residential architecture is full of examples like the havelies, where the buildings were climatically well adapted socially rich and ecologically sound this pattern of the building is also collaborated by Vaastu Shastra.

 

 

 

 

 

The mythological origin of these structures are provided in the Vastu Purush Mandala.it is said that the form of the Cosmos is recreated for man to inhabit.

 

RATIONAL OF VAASTU

Does Vaastu have any rationale? Vaastu Shastra was linked with God and religion, by those who formulated it so that people would accept it. However, having said that mass that the fundamental issue of as an embodiment of sun wind and light that is the natural environment is the concept in Vaastu. Good orientation ventilation can only increase habitability, thus correspondingly health and thereafter wealth. This is the main reason for having a set of bye-laws. Likewise, other dictates of vaastu like a master bedroom in the south-west, toilets in the west, an acting buffer from server afternoon sun can be rationalized. the benefits of climatological planning as per vaastu are many where the dependence means of mechanical methods can be minimized.

The whole earth acts like a magnet. Our body and blood have iron content so there has to be the effect of this massive magnet on each and everybody. The system of 'Magnetic Therapy' is based on this principle only. While sleeping with head towards North. the earth's magnetic north repels the bodies causing conflicts and thus dreams.

 

 

Water used in the basement rooms both for living purposes and for cleaning the basement can't be drained out into the mainline without any mechanical means. If the water to be emptied remains un-drained, it can result in unhygienic surroundings and can cause disease and inconvenience. Hence is the recommendation for not having a basement.

 

If offsets are allowed the designer can solve the design problem-orientation, ventilation, dimensions of rooms etc. But when there are no chances of keeping the offsets in the plan, he tries to bring order or symmetry in a plan. It facilitates easy execution. It minimizes the odd shape and corners of the space outside the building.

 

 

According to Vaastu, the direction of entry, the proportion of the building to the space around it, the relationship of blank wall and opening, the establishment of energy spots in the living room are all important. The house should be built with the natural slope in mind. The prevailing winds and monsoons would determine the highest point of a building-specific to its location.
